Educational Trip – 2013

The Social Science Department of Air Force Sr. Sec. School, Race Course, organised an educational trip to National Museum, National Gallery of Modern Art and Indira Gandhi memorial on 13th Dec. 2013. 81 students of class X under the able guidance of following teachers undertook the trip – Mrs. Dash, Mrs. Kusum Sharma, Mrs. Aradhana Diwan, Mrs. Sonia Kapoor and Mrs. Poonam Sethi. At the National Museum – Students were made aware of articles from Pre-historic era to modern works of art which brought life to history. Next, was visit to National Gallery of Modern Art. The objective was to sensitize the students towards art expression. For a sumptuous lunch, Indra Prasta was the best venue. Our children relaxed and had fun in its open lawns. It was the walk down to the memory lane at Indira Gandhi memorial which was the residence of former Prime Minister which acted as the icing on the cake. It gave an insight into the personal life, collections and the special moments with her family.

The informative and educational trip came to an end at 4.30 pm and children went home satisfied to have had their share of fun and learning together.
