REPORT ON “SAFETY AND SECURITY” SPEECH

On 3rd Sep 2019, a speech was conducted in the school assembly on the topic “Safety and Security”. An airman Sgt SK Diwedi from Air Force security department instructed the children on their Safety & Security inside & outside the school.
Following are the key points from the speech to be pondered on:-
1. With the increase in violence in society, it is very important to ensure the security and safety of children inside as well as outside the school. For that every individual has to be alert and vigilant about their surroundings.
2. One should immediately inform the concerned authority if they see any unattended object in their surroundings.
3. Everyone should co-operate with the security procedures followed at the gate of Air Force Camp and not become impatient as they should understand the fact that all these measures are taken for their safety only.
4. While taking a cab or an auto, children should call and inform their parents about the vehicle number, in front of the driver to give him an indirect warning.
5. At public places, one should not take or eat things from strangers.
6. He also mentioned the addiction about social media among children which is a huge threat to data security and might lead to any mishappening.
The speech came to an end with a conclusion for becoming an alert and vigilant citizen to avoid any mishappening as such incidents do not come with a knock on the door.
In the end Mrs. Deepanka Arora thanked the defence personnel for the wonderful speech and addressed the students and urged them to be a responsible and safe citizen of the country. She also informed them about the security measures taken by the school during any mishappening like ringing of alarm bell continuously for 4-5 minutes in school premises is an indicator of such situations so that the students become alert and respond accordingly.
