STATE LEVEL NATIONAL CHILDREN SCIENCE CONGRESS

Our school (AFSSS) had the proud priviledge to organize State Level NCSC – 2019-20 inside the school premises on 06 Nov 19. NCSC is a celebration of practical science. It is an inclusive platform where young scientists use their scientific skills to address real life problems. 37 schools from all over Delhi participated in this event. The inauguration of the function was done by Dr Nisha Mendiratta, Advisor Scientist (G) Head NCSTC – Dept. of Science and Technology and Mr. Anuj Sinha Chairman, NOSTC, New Delhi and they encouraged the students for putting up such a wonderful and enlightening exhibition. The eminent scientists – Dr K K Sharma, Dr Madhuphull, Shri R S Rana, Dr Uday Kakroo, Dr Vineet Sharma, Mrs Puneeta Melhotra, Dr Priyanka Kulshetra were the judges of the event. They too highly appreciated the students for their work. Students were encouraged to develop a scientific fervor and an attitude of research mindedness so that they develop the qualities of analytical and critical thinking. Out of 37 schools, 08 got selected for national level exhibition. This exhibition will be held at Kerala from 27 to 31 Dec 19.

Students of our school, Shubham Kumar Pandey and Faiz Ahmad of XI B who worked on Magnetic Farming under the guidance of Mrs. Taru Goyal, also got selected. They will be representing our school at national level. Dr. Sujit Banerjee, Scientist ‘F’ and national program coordinator, NCSC, NCSTC, DST, Govt of India joined in at the time of prize distribution ceremony. Mr S K Sinha, State Coordinator, appreciated the efforts of the school for organizing the event and making it a great success.
