HEALTH LECTURE on FIRST AID

On 14 Feb 23 a ‘Health Lecture on First Aid’ was conducted by Station Medicare Center, AFND in the Air Force Sr Sec School, Dhawan Auditorium.
There were two sessions – first session for primary section was attended by 215 students of classes I to V and 8 teachers and second session was attended by the 280 students of classes VI to VIII and 35 teachers.
The first part of session was conducted by Corporal K Garwal gave demonstration on life saving skill- CPR after a short film on CPR. It was followed by a live hands on experience by few students.
In the second part Sgt Deepak gave a talk about Oral hygiene and how to prevent tooth decay. Brushing techniques, preventive measures for healthy teeth and importance of good dental health were explained using PPT.
Corporal Arun Shaji in the third part of the session explained about regarding ‘Snake bite’. Various poisonous Indian snakes like cobra, viper, etc. He explained how to give First aid to a snake bite victim, how to prevent such situations, reach 108 in case of emergency.
It was an informative and interesting session.
