NATIONAL SCIENCE CONGRESS 2017-18
The senior students of our school participated in the National Science Congress 2017-18 with great zeal. The topic they chose was accessibility to disability. They had an opportunity to meet Mr Johar President of FOD .They also interviewed people who were differently abled and realised that these people need our empathy and not our sympathy. The students also interacted with other NGO’s like Udaan and Samadhan to understand the problems faced by the parents of differently abled children. They made tools like swirl spoon, hydraulic arm, pen grip, type etc from very cheap material available in the market. This project helped to sensitise and build awareness regarding the needs of the differently abled people. The project has been adjudged first position at the Zonal level and went on to represent the central level and the state level. It gives us great pride that this project is selected to participate at the National level in the Science City, Ahmadabad from 27 Dec to 31 Dec 17.
