AUTISM AWRENESS REPORT

 

Every year April is celebrated as World Autism Month and 02 April is celebrated as World Autism Awareness Day. The theme for this year is – “Transforming the narrative: Contributions at home, at work, in the arts and in policymaking.”
To show our support for autism and inclusive education with the motto “LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND” – a campaign was run from 02 April to 30 April “Wear a ribbon – Light it up Blue” where students and teachers wore a blue ribbon.
To create awareness, sensitize, develop understanding and for promoting inclusion for various disabilities amongst students and teachers, the following activities were organized during the month.

Teachers and students were also addressed in the morning assembly through stories on Autism and also about famous people who were diagnosed with autism and doing exceptionally well in their lives (ex Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Satoshi Tajiri) to sensitize them.
