COMPLETION REPORT OF CONDUCT OF COMPETITIONS ON THE THEME OF ENVIRONMENT IN AFSSS

As discussed in the School Management Committee meeting held on 07 Jun 19 at Jaswant Hall, competitions were conducted in the Air Force Sr Sec School at various levels.
Essay and Article writing competitions were held by the English Department. Topics given for essay writing were :-
• Plant Trees and Save Lives for class IX
• Wild Life and its conservation for class X
Topics allotted for article writing were :-
• How to deal with water crisis for class XI
• Ozone depletion : causes and effects for class XII
An awareness Campaign was organized for classes VI to VIII regarding the importance of Environment where students learnt about the importance of trees and made beautiful cards.
Students enthusiastically participated in Hindi Essay writing competition too. The following topics were given :-
• Aao bachae paryavaran for classes IX and X
• Paryavaran manav jeevan ka ang for classes IX and X
Students from classes VI to X showcased their creativity by participating in Poster Making Competitions and filled their sheets with riot of colours.
Our Eco Club ambassadors addressed the morning assembly regarding the harmful effects of single use plastic and made everyone pledge to make the school a ‘Plastic Free Zone’ by 31 Jul 19. Simple tips were given to the students to ensure the same. Hoardings with messages about the importance of trees have been displayed on the trees in the school campus.
Best three entries have been adjudged for all these competitions and the selected students will be felicitated with certificates.
These competitions not only provide a platform for the children to display their creative skills but also enrich them with awareness to protect the environment and develop a sense of respect towards mother earth.
