INDEPENDENCE DAY

On 12 Aug 16, 70th Independence Day was celebrated in the school by the students. The function was organized by the Chetak House. The programme began at 0900 h. The Air Force Song was sung by the school choir, followed by a speech given by Vanya Gurung of class IX. The speech was very inspiring. Everyone cheered her for it. It was followed by annual day programmes repeated for the students. Theme of the programme was ‘Namami Ganga’. It was an excellent programme and it got a lot of applause from the students and the teachers.
At the end of the programme, the principal, Mrs. Kavitha Menon gave an inspiring speech to encourage the students so that they can contribute for the development of our country and explained that how they should strive to make their country the best in the world. In the end, National Anthem was sung by everyone. Jai Hind!
