Students of Air Force Sr. Sec. School presented a science exhibition – Science Panorama 2013 on 26.08.13 and 27.08.13.
All the classes from I – XII participated in the exhibition and presented models on various topics. Students also expressed their thoughts on water co-operation, junk food, Natural Disasters by means of posters, slogans and science toons. An inter- class drama competition was organized for the students of Class IX. “Say no to drugs” presented by the students of class IX D was the winner. The competition was judged by Mrs. Jatinder Anand ,TGT Science.

Science Quiz was yet another attraction that added interest to the event .The topic was “Environment” and the Quiz Master was Mrs. Geetika Arora, PGT Chemistry. The winners were Sandeep, Vaibhav Parashar, Sachin singh. They will further represent our school at the Zonal level.

There were about 80 models in various categories – Primary,Middle,Secondary and Senior secondary levels. Mrs. Deepanka Arora did the judgment. On 26.08.13 Gp Cpt Job Madapatt and Wg Cdr .Prashant Chaubey ,our Senior Education Officer visited the school and appreciated the efforts put in by the staff and students. On 27.08.13 Sq ldr kusum Thakuri also interacted with the students and encouraged them.

The exhibition culminated on 27.8.13 and Our Principal Mrs. Kavita Menon gave away the prizes to the winning students.
The high lights of the exhibition were model of bridges, working model of a hot-air balloon, a submarine, motor mania, Pythagoras property, a dynamo made from CDs, a model showing movement of sound and binary power plant caught the attention of the guests and judges.

Other activities like process of breathing, electromagnet induction, full wave rectifiers, magic tiles etc. made understanding concepts easy and enjoyable.
Our senior students presented a range of thought provoking ideas from chemistry in daily life, producing diesel from plastic to producing electricity from fan, portraying banana as a wonder plant which can be used to purify water and also as a shoe shiner, to mention a few.

Students also gave a presentation on organ donation, which was highly motivating..

The Science and Mathematics teachers were the motivating force behind the organization of this successful event.
