Rihanna on duet with Eminem: It was authentic

It’s not at all a coincidence that Rihanna, a former victim of domestic violence, is singing the vocals on Eminem’s chart topping track about an abusive relationship, “Love the Way You Lie.”

“It’s something that we’ve both experienced on different sides, different ends of the table,” Rihanna told Access Nike LeBron 12 Hollywood. “It was authentic and it was real, it was believable for us to do a record like that, and it’s also something that needed to be done.”

Em penned lyrics like, “If she ever tries to [expletive] leave again/I tie her to the bed/And set the house on fire,” with Rihanna singing, “Just gonna stand there/And watch me burn/But that alright/Because I like/The way it hurts.” It’s heavy stuff, certainly, but Rihanna said she was impressed with the way Eminem expressed such a Air Jordan 17s difficult topic.

“The way that he did it was so clever,” she told Access. “He pretty much just broke down the cycle of domestic violence, and it’s something that a lot of people don’t have a lot of insight on, so this song is really powerful.”

The Barbadian singer added that she wasn’t at all apprehensive about working with Em because she was confident he wasn’t just trying to exploit her well publicized past.

“Eminem is an artist of class, and I knew if he sent me a record, there must be something to it. It couldn’t just be, ‘Oh, duh, she was in that relationship so we have to get her,'” she said. “It was really a deep song, and the lyrics were so deep, so beautiful and intense, it was something that I understood, something that I connected with. Beverages such as soda pop, Air Jordan 9s sparkling water, iced tea, lemonade, root beer, and fruit punch are the most common soft drinks. Milk, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, milkshakes, and tap water are not considered to be soft drinks. Although it sounds very catchy it a bunch of CRAP!! Sure was interesting explaining the lyrics to my 7 year old daughter (turned Jordan Pro Strong it off pretty quick). I get it you were in an abusive relationship and the lyrics are deep but after hearing this STUPID song it sounds like you freaking it You people are sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
