The Junior Everblades Hockey Association will be holding tryouts this May for the 2009 2010 travel season. The Junior Everblades will host teams in the Mite through Midget divisions.

The Blades’ AA teams participate Air Jordan 6s in the Statewide Florida Hockey League, and the A teams participate in the Florida Amateur Hockey League.

Teams usually have two practices per week and play league games on alternating weekends. Most teams participate in tournaments both in and out of state.

Tryouts will be held at Germain Arena from May 18 to 28. Tryouts cost $75 for all players, except Mites ($50). 1303.

Kids in Competition Karate USA will host the state championships May 29 and 30 at North Collier Regional Park. Kids from all over Florida will be at the event, which will allow competitors to achieve points towards national, state and regional titles.

This event will draw approximately 350 competitors to Collier County. KICK teams from Southwest Florida will be participating in the event, including former triple crown winner Natasha Hamilton, Tyler Ward and Aaron Smith.

Debbie Hamilton, owner of two Naples academies with nearly 350 students, hopes to take 100 of her students to the event. This competition also will provide opportunities for adults to compete May 29. each day.

Cougars’ football coaches will help players of all positions improve their fundamentals while preparing the athletes for the next level. Ivey and his staff also will teach the importance of establishing priorities centered around family, faith, school and football.

The cost for the camp is $100. The first 100 campers to register will receive a free t shirt. A non refundable deposit of $25 along with a registration form must Air Jordan 19s be turned in by May 29 to participate. The full balance is due at the start of camp.

The Don Stewart Basketball Camp will hold two sessions at separate locations in June. The first is June 8 to 12 at First Baptist Academy, followed by a camp June 15 to 19 at Naples Christian Academy.

Both camps are for players ages 7 to 14. The cost is $100 for one week or $175 for both. Two sessions also will be held at North Collier Regional Park from June 29 to July 3 and Air Jordan 17s July 6 to 10.

The camp is run by former Lely basketball coach Don Stewart, who was named Southwest Florida coach of the year 10 times. Former Lely players Stacey Stewart and Scott Stewart will assist.

The city of Naples and the Collier County Lacrosse Association have partnered to offer two lacrosse Air Jordan 1s camps this summer. Seagate Elementary School city park will be the site for both camps.

The first camp is June 15 to 19. each day. Players should bring their own equipment and water bottles. Registration must be done in person for this clinic at the Fleischmann Park Air Jordan 8s office just south of the Coastland Mall. The office phone number is 213 3020.

The second camp is for girls only. It will be every Monday and Thursday from July 6 to Aug. 6. each day. Players should bring eye protectors, mouth pieces, sticks and water bottles. Water and drinks will be provided.

Velocity Sports Performance and its partners the YMCA of Naples and Gulf Coast High School Football have come together to offer its 2009 Summer Performance Series. Camp is open to all Middle School athletes. to noon at the Naples YMCA. Camp is open to athletes ages 8 through 13.
