I told you last week about a holiday gift idea: eco friendly furniture for kids. I also promised you I be writing every week about fun gift ideas for the holidays from now until you can take it anymore. My second pick in the lineup is a book written by one of my dearest friends Marie LeBaron, the brilliant blogger behind the kid craft blog Make and Takes.

Marie book is called . It clever, it beautiful, and you want to get your hands on a copy ASAP. Marie is a former Kindergarten teacher, and every craft in the book features a learning objective for kids so you know exactly what you teaching while you crafting.

Air Jordan DMP an art degree, but can make Gak. It pretty embarassing. The best craft I ever did was when I was doing the days of creation with my son; for day 4, I had my son paint the bottoms of two paper plates, one was yellow and orange for the sun, and the other was sponge painted white, gray and black for the moon. Then I hole punched around the edges and he had to sew the plates together with yarn. It so cool hanging in our living room, and it spin so sometimes you see the moon, other times the sun.

i love to do all sorts of crafts! my son is only 13 months, so i havent been able to do much with him. but when i used to babysit my niece and brother in law, my favorite craft was contact paper collages. almost no mess, and almost an child can do it, regardless of age. tape contact paper sticky side up to a table. give kids all kinds of stuff; feathers, glitter, ribbons, sequins, tissue paper etc and let them go crazy, then stick another piece of contact paper on top. and ta da! the worst craft ive done, was painting with bubbles. for some reason, Air Jordan Future i could just never get it to work!

This one is a double whammy the best, and the worst, all in one! Last Thanksgiving my friend and I decided we wanted to make some turkey napkin ring holders, with the kids, for the table. It sounded like a great idea, we got colored pipe cleaners and googly eyes and thought, can do this! Gave the kids their supplies and then tried to figure out how we were going to do it. After many failed attempts, and 4 hours later (LOL), we had made some turkeys!

But forgot to add anything to the back for them to actually be napkin rings, we were so done from figuring out the puzzle that was those turkeys that we just threw them on the table around the plates instead!

My 3 year old and I love to make crafts, this is something we do for every holiday and also each day. I usually google kid friendly crafts but we are slowly running out of ideas. It almost time to put up our tree which is a very important family thing to do. You see all of our ornaments are handmade ( cornstarch) and then Air Jordan 9s we painted them, we string our own popcorn and make garland from construction paper! I have a new craft to introduce for this years tree ornament, can wait to see her eye pop when she sees what it is! This big would be the coolest thing to my little girl, I know it would make her smile and in return make this momma smile.
