Jordan Winterized 6 Rings Soledad share first in MTAL baseball

The Mustangs racked out 14 hits. Matt Ramon had four hits while Branson Umberger added three hits. Marc Flores also had three hits. Nick Sinclair and Mark Velasquez each had two hits.

Soledad 13, Carmel 9

The Aztecs showcased their power at the plate with four homers, including back to back homers during a four run fifth inning.

Carmel (9 4) held a 2 0 lead until the fifth when Soledad used back to back home runs from Matthew Antopia and Izaac Ortiz.

The Padres bounced back during a seven run fifth inning as Dylan Hopkins, Andrew Franks and Robbie Kovach all hit home runs.

But Soledad bounced back with five runs in the sixth and four in the seventh. Banuelos and Ivan Sanchez both hit home runs for the Aztecs, who host Pacific Grove on Thursday.

Catalina 1, King City 0

Christine Torrise hit a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh to make Alex Pingree (CG, 11 Ks, 2 H) a winner in an MTAL thriller.

Torrise finished with two hits for Catalina (4 1), which travels to Stevenson today.

Pacific Grove 12, Gonzales 1

Pacific Grove’s Kristina Morris struck out six in her two Jordan Winterized 6 Rings hitter that was called after five frames.

Victoria Lucido collected three hits and 2 RBIs, while Lilli Consiglio Air Jordan Fusion 4 and Kate O’Neil both drove in two on two hits. Maria Aiello and Lindsey Morgan added two hits apiece for Pacific Grove (9 9, 2 4), which hosts Carmel on Thursday.

North County 5, Watsonville 2

Beth Sandoval fanned 11 in her complete game four hitter and helped her own cause with four runs batted in for the Condors.

Alyssa Palacio had two hits for North County (5 4), which travels to Seaside on Thursday.

Carmel 7, Soledad 1

Bonnie Burns pitched a four hitter and struck out 10, and also went 2 for 3 with two RBIs at the plate to lead Carmel.

The Padres erupted for all seven of their runs in the Air Jordan 1s fourth inning. Kaylee Vandenberg and Amanecer Eizner both went 4 for 4 with a run for Carmel. Wendy Wilcomb had a triple and an RBI for Soledad.

Monterey 7, MVC 3

Sarah Hoag struck out 13 Jordan Pro Strong to earn the decision before giving way to reliever Jessica Kandcer, who closed things out.

Domenique Grillo hit a Air Jordan 13s 2 run homer, Kandacer hit two triples and a double and Marrisa Munoz had two hits for Monterey (17 3, 9 0), which travels to Watsonville on Thursday.
