锘?Another wear part of the Pool Vac Ultra are the shoes. These little guys right here that actually come in contact with the pool. Really the only piece that does. Well, sure the flaps kind of hover above it and the wings do touch it a little bit to rub it, but this is where all of the weight of the cleaner is. all right, so just like the tires on your car or your sneakers, friction and rubbing, makes it wear down. In fact the way the pool cleaner operates is by taking little tiny steps, all right? It causes a lot of friction. These guys are super tough. Your not going to have to replace them often but when it comes time, do it! Don’t wait! What happens here is that it, especially if you see any rubbing or marring in the back of the pods. you want to make sure that when you rub your finger over it, that you can feel a little bump on all sides, because if it starts to rub on the pods and breaks those, that?s a much more expensive repair. What you want to do to get the pods out, the shoes rather, is take a small screwdriver and just sort of work it right underneath it towards the center and hopefully pop. There we go! Right off there. Now here’s a secret. First, is that they’re keyed. So you’ve got one that?s bigger and one that’s smaller to make sure they go in the same way. Now, what you can see here is obviously the shoe wants to face forward on the cleaner. Now, it’s a little more difficult when they’re new, so here is a little trick that I use. All right? You can do it while you?re out by the pool. One in the other and than it’s kind of a rolling motion. Pop, Pop! And it’s ready to go. Replace all four of them. Don’t wait!
