KINSTON David Robert Singleton, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, entered into heaven on Monday, October 10, 2011, at the age of 84. Robert was born on November 13, 1926, in Pitt County to David Robert and Mamie Heath Singleton. He and his wife of 64 years, Sandra Magnanti, were married on December 7, 1946, in Rome, Italy while he was serving in the Mediterranean Theater as an Army Sergeant during World War II. While there he received a Victory Medal and consequently an Honorable Discharge in 1947. Robert and his wife settled in Lenoir County. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church Nike LeBron 12 in Kinston. He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Rose Air Jordan DMP Singleton Hamlin and her husband Paul Hamlin; and his son, Danny Robert Singleton; his grandchildren include Laurie Hamlin McCune and her husband Tony McCune, Trey Hamlin, Joshua Singleton and his Air Jordan 10 Retro wife Amanda McSheffrey Singleton, Rachel Singleton Bost and her husband Matthew Bost, and Noah Singleton; great grandchildren include Heidi, Hannah, and Lucas McCune, Laney Singleton, Ryan and Samuel West. He was preceded in death by nine siblings, Fred, Elton, Floyd, Walter, Clifton, Herbert, Bettie, Sis, and Alma. at Grace Fellowship Church. with the Rev. Jason McKnight officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
