Air Jordan Women Size the 2009 Daily News player of the year

Larry Drew led Taft of Woodland Hills to the City Section boys’ basketball title in 2008, then helped North Carolina capture the NCAA Division I men’s basketball championship last season. Drew and the Tar Heels are now two victories away from concluding their season with another title, this time in the National Invitational Tournament. Lilley remains Division I leader, second overall With no other women’s basketball player in the postseason within 30 of her total, 2006 Hart of Newhall graduate Taylor Lilley who recently concluded her career at Oregon Jordan 9 Retro is likely to finish the season as the NCAA Division I leader in 3 point field goals. But even Lilley’s 124 3 pointers third all time on the Division I season performance list weren’t enough to lead the entire nation from behind the arc. After making a women’s basketball collegiate record 146 3 pointers last year, junior Laura Malernee of Division II West Liberty University in West Virginia hit 134 3 point field goals this season, which ranks fourth on the all time season list, regardless of division. Henley’s runner up effort in the 200 IM (2:02.04) was just off her record mark of 2:01.79 at last year’s NCAA final, good for third place. Henley holds six Air Jordan 16s Tritons’ individual program records. Valencia duo named to Air Jordan 9 all tournament team Lauren Boser and Caitlin Rooney were selected to the 21 player all tournament team after leading Valencia (10 3 1) to a fifth place finish at the prestigious 32 team Nike Faster to First softball tournament. Boser was 5 for 15 with two runs and three RBIs and Rooney finished 4 for 12 with two RBIs, helping the Vikings post a 4 1 record at the three day event. Erik Boal
