Nike Free Run New Returning Series Air on Irish TV

Loosehorse’s new four part travel series ‘Welcome to My World’ began airing last Friday on RT One. The four part series follows immigrants to Ireland who return to their home country with an Irish friend or family for the first time. Destinations for the series include Namibia, Turkey, Korea and Peru. The programme explores the roots and relationships that that each friendship has established in Ireland which will be road tested along their journeys.

Episode 2 of the series, which will air this Friday 6th March on RT One at 7.30pm, pays a visit to Namibia the home of entrepreneur Maria Angolo who is accompanied by her Irish partner’s daughter Dubliner Melanie Duffy. A former freedom fighter when an apartheid regime ruled her homeland, Maria left home at 16 telling her mother she’d be back in time for tea. She didn’t return for nearly twenty years.

The next episode on Friday 20th March features Korean born Nike Free Run Soonie Delap and her “cousin in law” 60 year old singer Carmel McCreagh, followed by Peruvian Marie Elena Valverde and her Irish boyfriend Aidan Ronayne on Friday 27th March.

The series is directed by Bob O’Brien, Joe Farrell and Ciaran Tanham and was shot from September 2008 February 2009. Offline editor is Zani Darragh and Ger Brady with online editing and graphics by Alan Foley taking place at The Element.

The new and fifth series of interior design show ‘Showhouse’ produced Nike Free Run by Vision Independent Productions returns to RT One on Thursday 5th March at 8:30pm. Presented by interior designer Neville Knott, the show will kick off from in Boyle, Co. Roscommon.

The two interior designers who will be competing in the first episode of the series are Yvonne McEvoy and Charlotte Lyons. The pair have a few weeks to plan their showhouses with the public voting on the winning interior. Diarmuid Goggins directed the first two programmes of the series with Mark O’Neill producing. The filming began before Christmas with more shooting due to take place in the next four weeks.

Factual series ‘Not Enough Hours’ returns with Owen Fitzpatrick, psychologist and time management expert, offering advice to a new batch of candidates in getting the most of their day. The first installment airs tonight (Wednesday 4th March) on RT Two at 8.30pm and follows mother of two and hotel sales advisor Elaina Fitzgerald as she tries to balance her time between family life and work. The sitcom stars Christina Applegate (The Sweetest Thing) who plays a woman forced to rediscover her life after waking up from a hit and run accident with amnesia.

The episode entitled ‘The Family Vacation’ sees Nike Free Run Sam going on a family holiday after recently breaking up with her boyfriend. Sam discovers the owner of the cabin in which she is staying in, is in fact an old flame of hers from her forgotten youth. Not wanting to get her heart broken again she stays away from Brad only to discover her jealousy when her friend begins to show interest in him.
