Jordan Retro 5 are free of BPA

If I had a baby who was using bottles, I think I give pretty serious consideration to using stainless steel bottles like the ones from Pura.

While so many baby bottles are now BPA free (it about time!), and more and more people are using glass, there is also a growing market for parents who like the options, security and safety of using a stainless steel baby bottle.

Pura stainless steel baby bottles and sippy cups are made from food grade stainless steel. This means that their bottles don require the addition of an interior finish to avoid reactions to liquids stored inside. Food grade stainless steel has a resistance to corrosion and staining, and it has anti bacterial properties.

Companies like Pura are also making new products and innovations that make using a stainless baby bottle or sippy cup more attractive (and convenient) for parents. All of the components that go with their products sippy spouts, and silicone covers, are free of BPA, phthalates and lead. Not only that, for infants their nipples have been designed to closely mimic breastfeeding.

Their natural flow nipples have a new design that improves a baby latch on the nipples, an elongated to ease colic and spit up, and multiple holes in the tip which have variable flow rates. And if a mother wants to take advantage of the non toxic properties of stainless steel to store breastmilk, they also offer BPA free silicone sealing discs that can be used in the lids of the bottles.

The stainless steel body of their bottles can also be easily changed to a sippy cup by changing accessories and adding their XL Sipper Spout. It has a stiffer design to aid in the proper development of teeth and the spouts were also made to stand up to the habits of a teething toddler always chomping on the end of their sippy cup.

While a stainless steel sippy cup may get a little more up and dented from the day to day use of a baby or toddler, they definitely have health and convenience to back them up. Personally, I would give them serious consideration if I found myself facing the bottle stage again.

What about you? Would you or do you use a stainless steel bottle or sippy cup for your baby or toddler? I love to hear your experiences.

Disclaimer: Pura sent me a sample of their stainless steel sippy cup to check out for this review. My opinions expressed in this post are honest. Hi everybody this is Jen from Pura Stainless and I would like to address some of the questions above:

1. Cost actually when one compares a stainless Kiki bottle that grows from an infant bottle to a sippy cup and then to an adolescent bottle or snack cup (w/ Jordan Retro 5 our new silicone sealing disks), the cost is only a fraction of plastic or glass bottles that constantly break, chip, or crack. A Kiki bottle can be used for 5 years (or more); a plastic or glass bottle for a couple of months. We like to say Grows Bottle Evolves Mold and other nasty growth stainless steel is naturally anti bacterial Air Jordan 6 Rings and has been used for milk pasteurization, brew brewing, food prep, and surgical environs for decades. Nothing migrates in or out of stainless and it is incredibly durable making it the ideal material for a infant or toddler bottle.

3. Glass bottles every glass bottle (and every other stainless bottle for that Air Jordan 8s matter) uses a plastic collar and/or sip spout. The Pura Kiki bottle is the only bottle on the global market that is 100% plastic free. New studies have show that even BPA free plastic (see Discovery News et al) has been linked to a myriad of health issues. What does this mean to you? No Plastic No Safety Concerns.

Thanks for your questions and do not hesitate to ask more or contact us directly. Thanks!

I have a 16 month old toddler and I recently Jordan Pro Strong purchased the Pura ss bottle with the sippy spout. I do love the fact that the bottle grows with your baby that is an A+ for me not to mention the health benefits that come with using a 100% plastic free bottle. I have gone through so many bottles and sippy cups and some were great others were really bad, mainly an issue with leaking. I was wondering if anyone might know if Pura leaks? Either way I about to find out but I really hope not.

I love the stainless steel bottle you can sterilize it like any other bottle! Air Jordan 4s my baby loves it too you can use NUk and other similar teats if the ones it comes with arent great I recieved three different teats with my one bottle so the cost isnt that bad because the price of teats bnow days is so high there is a special on their sit until tomorrow. Ive dropped it several times and the paint did not chip off or anything.
