TALK CUM DEMONSTRATION ON CPR & FIRST AID<\/h2>\n

Talk cum demonstration was conducted by the Station Medicare Centre of AFND on Life Saving Skills \u2013 CPR & First Aid in school auditorium on 16 Apr 19. It was conducted by Flt Lt Mayuri Verma and Sgt B L Sharma. Hands on training in CPR was given. Important features of the session are as follows :-
\n1. First Aid tips were given on burns, fracture & dog bite.
\n2. CPR stands for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation; Cardio means \u201cheart\u201d and pulmonary means \u201crelated to lungs\u201d. Resuscitation is a medical word which means \u201cto revive\u201d. CPR is a life-saving technique used in medical emergencies such as heart attack or cardiac arrest.
\n3. CPR Steps Everyone Should Know \u2013
\n\u2022 Position your hand.
\n\u2022 Interlock fingers.
\n\u2022 Give chest compressions.
\n\u2022 Open the airway.
\n\u2022 Give rescue breaths.
\n\u2022 Watch chest fall.
\n\u2022 Repeat chest compressions and rescue breaths.
\n4. Re-Emphasis was given on 3L\u2019s Look, Listen and Feel, 30 compressions on chest ventilation, rescue breaths.
\nAfter demonstration on a dummy body, interactive question answer session was held by Flt Lt Mayuri Verma. Students were called upon to perform CPR on the dummy. Over whelming response came from the students. Approximately 12 to 14 student performed the Life Saving Skill \u2013 CPR on dummy.
\nIt was an interactive and educative session which delivered the skills and confidence to use first aid and CPR for real life situation.
\nAt the end of the session, the Principal thanked the Station Medicare Centre team from AFND for giving the useful skills to students & teachers to save human lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
