Report on National Mathematics Day Primary

National Mathematics day was organized in middle classes of the school on 22 Dec 2014 to the birthday of Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan, the great mathematical genius who made exemplary contribution to Mathematics.
The Mathematics day was celebrated with objective of creating awareness about importance of mathematics in day to day life situation and also to create students interest in studying the Mathematics.
As part of the celebrations, quiz programme, drawing competition on geometrical designs and talk on Mathematics were organized and conducted by Mr. Brajpal, Mrs. Kusum Gupta, Mrs. Mala, Mrs. Sonia Kapoor and Mr. Mukesh.
24 Students from classes 6 to 8 divided into 4 teams participated in the quiz programme which was conducted in five rounds. The programme was enjoyed by the participants and other students. Drawing competition had 28 participants wherein the participating students were required to draw geometrical designs to depict their creativity and understanding of the geometrical concepts.
The students participated in the above programmes with great zeal and enthusiasm and enjoyed the programmes.
Respected Principal Mrs. Kavitha Menon also graced the occasion and encouraged the students to participate in such activities in future as well.
